Heritage is pleased to announce a free workshop for anyone living with, or working with youth entitled Plugged In: The Neurological, Relational, & Personal Impact of Technology Driven Entertainment.
The explosion of text messaging, internet use, portable video, social networking websites, and cyber universes is having a profound effect on an entire generation of children and young adults. “Plugged In” is a workshop that explores research regarding the neurological, personal, and relational impact of overuse of technology and gives information about how to make an intentional “technology use plan” that optimizes positive effects and minimizes potential risks in all three areas. This workshop is appropriate for any and all individuals working and/or living with children and youth. It is a free seminar on Friday, Nov 13th from 9am-12pm at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. Three CEUs will be offered for LCSWs and LCPCs. RSVP Sara.J.Haimes@biola.edu.
