Dr. Carioti provides individual, couples, and family therapy for persons from adolescence through older age. Working to bring about positive change, she addresses depression and anxiety as well as problematic personality dynamics. She helps people work through life circumstances and traumatic events that have caused harm, and painful losses and grief reactions that can feel overwhelming. Dr. Carioti is effective in helping people move through life transitions and develop healthy interpersonal relationships. She is experienced in addressing women’s issues including postpartum, menopausal, and midlife concerns.
Dr. Carioti has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, Chicago, as well as her doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago, and is trained in EMDR. For 20 years, she has been helping people deal with difficult and critical moments in their lives, empowering them to live more effectively.
In her role as Director of Clinical Training at Heritage, Dr. Carioti provides clinical supervision for students preparing to be mental health professionals. She also enjoys supervising Master’s level psychotherapists and clinical psychologists.
