Each year, over 30 million Americans seek help in dealing with their problems. At Heritage Professional Associates, we are dedicated to helping people lead happier, healthier lives by finding solutions to their problems. We have found that these problems are as varied as the people who experience them. We help people clarify problems and develop their strengths in order to improve their lives.
We are an interdisciplinary group of mental health professionals serving the Chicago metropolitan area with offices in Downtown Chicago, Hinsdale and Wheaton. Whether you are looking for a psychologist, social worker, licensed clinical professional counselor, certified addictions counselor, or spiritual counselor, we have a staff of very talented, kind and caring professionals to assist you.

Counseling & Therapy
Heritage provides a variety of therapy services including individual, group, and couples/family therapy across the life span. Each endeavor is rooted in the therapeutic alliance between therapist and client and guided by the agreement on goals. Let our team of talented professionals come alongside the children, teens, and adults in your life.
Center for Values-Based Living
Formerly known at the Heritage DBT program, these services have been expanded under the New Center for Values-Based Living. There is now a wider array of services to help people manage intense emotions and impulses, to define what makes for a purposeful, value-driven life, and to help others live better, in closer connection to their stated values. The end result is to live a life driven by one’s values, and according to those values.
At intake, our new director of this program, Dr. Abby Hurley, will help you decide which components of this program will best suit your needs.
Group therapy or group psychotherapy can be one of the most potent forms of counseling. It provides a type of learning laboratory for people to learn powerful things about themselves through the feedback of others. Under the leadership of Heritage Professional staff, group members can learn how to overcome irrational beliefs that frequently go through their minds in social settings (e.g., “others don’t like me; others think I’m stupid, or unattractive, or boring,” etc.). Group psychotherapy can also more effectively challenge people regarding their blind spots. There’s power in numbers! Currently Heritage Professional Associates is offering group psychotherapy in both the Hinsdale and Wheaton locations.Fees vary depending on the group. Some therapists offer sliding scale fee for those who qualify. Group therapy fees are typically lower than individual therapy sessions and may be covered by insurance.

Testing & Assessment
Psychological testing and assessment provides valuable information toward better understanding of one’s presenting concerns. Whether it is an individually administered test or a battery of tests, assessment guides and directs treatment (or educational decisions) for more timely and effective outcomes.
Our training program is a tremendous resource to those pursuing careers in the mental health field. A variety of training opportunities are offered.
Cogmed Memory Training
Cogmed Working Memory Training is a home-based program specifically created for children, adolescents, and adults with working memory and attention deficits.
Heritage Center for Marriage & Family
The Heritage Center for Marriage and Family is dedicated to strengthening the community by supporting the very root systems of the community, thriving marriages and families. Located at our Wheaton facility, HCMF provides educational workshops and seminars for individuals and couples through every stage of marriage and parenting.
Churches, like any well-run organization, benefit from the best practices available to maximize personnel, sharpen programs, and enhance overall ministry effectiveness. Heritage can provide support in such tasks as conducting personality/strengths testing for current and prospective staff, providing supervision/oversight to lay counseling ministries (Stephen Ministry), and equipping staff to address the mental health needs of the congregation (e.g., suicide prevention).
The Replogle Center for Counseling & Well-being
Located in downtown Chicago in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, The Replogle Center offers individual counseling, therapeutic resources, free classes, and events in a calming environment that provides respite from the challenges of daily life. Many of the Replogle Center’s services are provided on a sliding scale based on need.
