Stefana Racorean, M.A., MFT intern
Stefana is a Marriage and Family Therapy international student at Wheaton College. Prior to coming to US for more in-depth training, Stefana worked as a therapist and trainer for 9 years in an organization focused on serving clients and training future family therapists in Romania. Her areas of interest include a systemic approach to individual issues (anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, substance abuse, loss and grief), parenting, relational matters (marital conflict, adoption, infidelity and divorce), spiritual issues and trauma (sexual abuse, neglect). Stefana is particularly interested in relational matters, attachment and trauma informed care. She is a certified circle of security parental educator and has completed the Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy externship. Other approaches she is interested in are EMDR and the Gottman approach to couple therapy. Besides seeing children, adults, couples and families, Stefana also facilitates a SMART recovery meeting.
