About Michaela Espino
Michaela Espino is a Doctoral Therapy Extern with experience providing therapeutic services to individuals across the lifespan. Her clinical interests include trauma and PTSD, family systems, substance use concerns, hope, resilience, and psychological healing within difficult life transitions. She has worked with foster care recipients transitioning out of care, facilitated groups focused on trauma recovery and substance abuse, conducted diagnostic assessments, and supported individuals navigating significant personal challenges.
Michaela approaches therapy from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework while integrating a relational and strengths-based perspective. She is committed to creating a supportive, collaborative, and encouraging therapeutic environment that empowers clients toward meaningful growth and lasting change. Her clinical work emphasizes practical skill development, emotional insight, and resilience in the face of adversity.
She is passionate about fostering a safe, compassionate, and relational space where clients feel understood and supported throughout the therapeutic process. Outside of her clinical work, Michaela enjoys roller skating, traveling, singing, and spending time with her family.
