About Sheridan Bochniak

Sheridan Bochniak is a compassionate Doctoral Therapy Extern specializing in providing therapeutic treatment to individuals across various life stages and a wide range of mental health disorders. She has a particular interest in working with adolescents and young adults while also welcoming clients of diverse backgrounds and age groups. Grounded in a deeply empathetic approach, Sheridan strives to understand and address her clients' unique experiences, with a firm belief in their potential for growth and healing. Her clinical interests are broad, encompassing trauma work, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, and the psychological complexities of life transitions and stress management. During her diagnostic practicum at FJ Psychological Services, Sheridan gained valuable experience conducting clinical interviews, administering comprehensive psychological assessments, and crafting personalized treatment plans tailored to her clients' needs. In therapy, Sheridan integrates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic principles. Her approach centers on fostering an environment of trust and empowerment, underpinned by her dedication to supporting clients on their journey towards mental health improvement. Sheridan is currently completing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University.

In her free time, Sheridan loves to play the guitar, write songs, and delve into a variety of music genres. She also enjoys immersing herself in enriching literature and staying active at the gym. Additionally, Sheridan highly values spending quality time with friends and family. A special mention goes to her Sheepadoodle, Apollo, a cherished companion in her leisurely pursuits.
