A Guided Relationship Tune-Up

A working date night for couples who want their relationship to be better

Light supper and refreshments provided

If your relationship is functioning well enough, but you sense it could be more connected, more supportive, or more intentional, this evening is for you.

Many couples are not in crisis, yet find themselves spending more time managing logistics than truly connecting. This Guided Relationship Tune-Up is designed for couples who want to pause, reset, and invest in how they relate—before distance quietly grows.

This is not therapy and not a lecture. It is a guided, in-person working date night that helps couples practice a few high-impact relational processes together, privately, with structure and support.

What Makes This Different

There is no shortage of relationship advice online. What most couples don’t get from social media, podcasts, or books is guided practice—a calm, intentional environment where new ways of relating can be experienced and felt.

  • “A relaxed, well-paced evening with time to eat, reflect, and reconnect.”

Think of this evening as a carefully curated date that blends connection, reflection, and professional guidance—so what you practice together has a better chance of carrying into everyday life.

What You’ll Learn and Practice

You will be guided to work with three important practices that strong, resilient relationships rely on:

Intentionality

Learn how individuals and couples can harness the practice of setting intentions as a powerful relational tool. Intentionality helps shape tone, reduce reactivity, and create shared direction. Rather than reacting moment by moment, couples learn how to orient themselves toward how they want to be with each other, especially during times of stress or transition.

Being on the Same Team

Learn how to cultivate a relational stance in which partners experience each other as allies rather than adversaries. You’ll explore ways of offering support, encouragement, and appreciation that help your partner feel backed, valued, and believed in.

Working with Differences

Differences are inevitable; disconnection is not. You’ll learn an approach for staying emotionally connected while navigating differences.  How  to listen with the goal of understanding rather than winning, how to express your own experience without blame, and how to move from misunderstanding to repair to collaboration.

The focus is not on eliminating disagreement, but on learning how to remain allies in the presence of differences.

These processes are practiced privately with your partner, with clear structure and guidance. The emphasis is on learning how to work with each other, not on diagnosing what’s wrong.

Who This Is For

This Working Date Night is a good fit if you:

  • feel basically stable, but notice stress, distance, or miscommunication

  • want something practical and experiential rather than therapy

  • value learning processes you can return to again and again

Who This Is Not For

This experience is not designed for couples in active crisis, high conflict, or situations where safety is a concern. If that reflects where things are right now, we’re happy to help you find a more appropriate option through Heritage Professional Associates.

If you are still uncertain whether this is for you, one of the presenters would be happy to talk to you and help you decide.
