About Carly Quibodeaux

Carly Quibodeaux is a doctoral therapy extern who specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults. She has previous experience providing psychological testing and brief therapy interventions in an inpatient psychiatric hospital and a community mental health center.    As a therapist, Carly strives to understand each person’s unique story by taking an empathic, client-centered, trauma-informed, and multicultural approach that recognizes the ways past experiences and various factors of diversity (race/ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, religious background, etc.) affect each person and the therapeutic process. With this approach, she hopes to build upon clients’ strengths and values to promote security, growth, and healing. Carly is most interested in working with individuals struggling with trauma, grief, mood and anxiety disorders, and issues or concerns around identity.   Carly has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler and is currently completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College. Her dissertation research is focused on the experience of military sexual trauma in veterans and service members who identify as LGBTQ+.
