We are pleased to offer a new 12-week skills-based support group designed specifically for adults who have experienced trauma or who may struggle with dissociation.
This group will follow Module One of the Finding Solid Ground protocol, a new evidence-based intervention that helps individuals build the foundational skills needed to manage trauma-related symptoms and improve daily functioning.
Module One: Grounding Resources
This first phase of the Finding Solid Ground protocol focuses on developing grounding resources—essential tools for managing dissociation and regulating emotional responses.
Participants will engage in a combination of didactic presentations, group discussions, and experiential exercises to learn and practice skills such as:
When, how, and why to ground
Recognizing early signs of becoming ungrounded
Developing effective, healthy grounding techniques
Separating past from present experiences
Managing emotional overwhelm
Understanding trauma’s impact on the brain
Cultivating self-compassion
Navigating trauma-based thoughts
Who This Group Is For
This group is ideal for individuals who:
Have a history of trauma
Struggle with dissociation or feeling disconnected from the present moment
Are looking to build concrete, skills-based tools in a supportive setting
Want to deepen their understanding of how trauma affects the body and mind

The Heritage Center for Values Based Living seeks to engage individuals in the acceptance and change skills needed to face what feels impossible and discover what truly matters. We recognize that this journey is a unique one and seek to provide our clients with the individualized plan that journey requires. Each person’s work at Heritage starts in a consultation with a member of our team where we will assess one’ treatment journey, goals, and then tailor our individual, group, assessment, and collaboration options to meet their needs. This is particularly valuable for individuals who may be transitioning out of higher levels of care or seeking higher levels of support while navigating demands of day-to-day life.
